The undefeated representative of the lightweight division turned to the Ukrainian ex-champion in three weight categories.
Shakur Stevenson has called on Vassily Lomachenko to step into the ring with him and fight for the vacant WBC lightweight title.
At the same time, the American boxer did not choose his words, but accused his potential opponent of cowardice and unwillingness to fight.
“Vasily Lomachenko, I used to respect you a lot, but you’re just a coward as far as I can see. Would you rather retire than join me in the ring?” Stevenson wrote.
Man @VasylLomachenko I used to have a lot of respect for u but u just as scary as everybody else I see.. U rather retire then get in the ring wit me? 😂🦆

Stevenson also approached Lomachenko’s manager, Egis Klimas, in the same no-nonsense style.
“There are no better options on the table for him. Tell your fighter to grab his balls and join me in the ring,” Stevenson wrote.
There are no better options on the table for him @KlimasBoxing tell yo fighter drop his nuts and get in the ring wit me 🤨🦆
