On August 12, he was supposed to fight as part of the Top Boxing Generation evening
Ukrainian boxer Nikita Babich died tragically on the eve of his professional debut.
An 18-year-old athlete, while swimming in a lake in the Kyiv region on August 5, had a cramp, after which Babich could not stay on the water. The boxer’s body was found a few days later.
Babich was supposed to make his professional boxing debut on August 12 at a boxing evening from Top Boxing Generation in Brovary. Mikhail Khainutdinov was supposed to be his opponent.
The evening of professional boxing from the promotional company Top Boxing Generation and Balu Promotion will be held at Terminal Mall, Brovary with the support of FAVBET. During the tournament, a charity auction will be held to raise funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The event in Brovary will be the first international boxing event in Ukraine since Russia’s full-scale military invasion of our country. The boxing evening will be broadcast by the MEGOGO media service.
The main event of the show will be the fight for the UBO light welterweight title between Ukrainian Nazri Ragimov and Panama representative Irving Berry.
