In world boxing, they have officially agreed on a duel between two absolute world champions.

A historic event will take place in boxing. For the first time in this sport there will be a duel between two absolute champions.

Undisputed super middleweight champion Saul Alvarez and undisputed super middleweight champion Jermell Charlo have agreed to a fight that has been officially announced.

The boxers will meet on September 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, USA.

Immediately after the historic meeting, Jermell will be stripped of his WBO world title. The organization will allow Charlo to fight Saul as a champion, so that this fight will be a duel between two absolute champions. Immediately after this, he will lose the belt due to not holding the mandatory defense.

We added that Saul Alvarez defeated John Ryder in May 2023 by judges’ decision. Jermell Charlo knocked out Brian Castagno in the 10th round in May 2022.

Canelo and Charlo commented on the upcoming meeting:

“I’m very happy that we put together a fight of this magnitude between two undisputed champions. Jermell Charlo also fights against the best in his division and I’m happy that the fans will be able to enjoy a world class fight between us, Alvarez said.

“Really excited to make history again. This is the biggest fight in boxing and I’m going to leave it all in the ring like I did before. It’s made it a reality and worthy of everything I’ve achieved in this sport. Cannello is a great boxer , but we will see which one of us is better and when the fight is over, people will understand that I am the best boxer in this sport,” said Jermell.

Recall that Tyson Fury previously announced his desire to arrange a fight with Oleksandr Usyk for the title of absolute champion.
