The Eagles football team, founded by former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, won the Dagestan LFL Cup final in Makhachkala.
In the last match of the tournament, the Eagles team from Makhachkala defeated Bahru-Kada club from Gurbuki village with the score 4:2.
At the start of the tournament, 72 teams took part in the competition.
The 8 × 8 amateur league in Dagestan has existed since 2011, now there are 3 levels in the LFL – the Premier League, the First League and the Second League, which is divided into zone “A” and zone “B”.
Khabib Nurmagomedov retired in 2020 defending his lightweight belt against Justin Gaethje. In early 2023, the Russian fighter announced his retirement from the MMA industry.
