Terence also does not rule out a meeting in the ring with Spence or Charlo
Undisputed World Welterweight Champion Terence Crawford shared his thoughts on his plans for the near future.
He doesn’t rule out a rematch with Errol Spence, nor does he mind fighting Jermell Charlo after he takes on Canelo Alvarez. However, first of all, according to Terence, he will have to meet in the ring with Tim Tszyu.
“As for the rematch with Spence, it all depends on him. He gave me the opportunity. If that’s what he wants, I’ll pay him back.”
“Besides Spence, I’m definitely looking at Jermell Charlo, but he just got stripped of his WBO title. So now it will be difficult to become the undisputed champion of the three divisions. Probably have to meet with Tszyu. If successful, we will be able to fight Charlo after his fight with Canelo,” said Crawford.
Earlier, 35-year-old Crawford announced the end of his professional career in the near future.
Recall that after the fight between Charlo and Alvarez, which was officially announced on September 30, the WBO will deprive Jermell of the championship belt.
In the last fight, Crawford defeated Errol Spence by technical knockout, becoming the undisputed world champion in the division. For Terence, winning against Spence was the 40th in his career and the 31st ahead of schedule. Errol suffered his first loss in his 29th professional fight.
With this win, Crawford became the first boxer in the world in the four version era to win all four belts in two divisions. Previously, we recall, Terence was the undisputed world welterweight champion.
