The fight lasted 35 seconds and ended with Vakhaev winning by technical knockout in the first round. Ponomarev suffered a leg injury, due to which he could not continue the fight.
Thanks to this victory, Vakhaev reached the semi-finals of the ACA Heavyweight Grand Prix, where Kirill Kornilov would become his opponent.
The main event of the mixed martial arts night in Moscow will be a middleweight bout between Magomedrasul Hasanov and Salamu Abdurakhmanov.
