Cara de Sapato comes to Brazil for another knee surgery

Cara de Sapato underwent a medical procedure on his knee this past Friday, the 11th; surgery was a success, and the athlete is already at home and recovering

On the morning of last Friday, the 11th, the athlete and former BBB Antonio Shoe Guy underwent another knee surgery, which is why he came to Brazil. Last year, Sapato participated in two fights in PFL which resulted in a serious injury to his right knee, with complete tearing of the ligaments, in addition to a meniscus injury and cartilage tear.

The injuries led him to undergo a procedure that was successful, except for the meniscus, as doctors performed a release, which is performed to try to preserve the structure of the knee. However, as the meniscus area does not have much circulation, it ended up not healing properly, requiring a new intervention.

Recently, Sapato was experiencing a lot of pain in his knee and was unable to perform his workouts with excellent performance. So, on medical advice, the athlete returned to Brazil last week to undergo another surgery, this time to remove a large part of the meniscus. The athlete has already been discharged and is recovering at home. The prediction of his recovery is around 4 weeks, where he will also do physical therapy.

“The surgery was very successful, thank God, I’m already at home recovering. It was simpler than the one I had done last year, I even risked taking a few steps now, I didn’t know the recovery would be so quick, and the doctor said that in 3 or 4 weeks I’ll be back to my workouts”shares Shoe.
