Philip will go to the duel of the Ukrainian with Daniel Dubois
Croatian heavyweight Filip Hrgovic commented on the upcoming fight between the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO world champion Oleksandr Usyk and British Daniel Dubois.
“I have to fight Usyk next. I deserve it. I’m going to Poland to watch the ringside fight.”
“Usyk is a huge favorite in this fight because he is faster. He’s really a great fighter. But Dubois is a big puncher, a big guy with a great straight right.”
“My message is: follow the rules. The winner must face me.”
The battle between Usyk and Dubois will take place on August 26 in Wroclaw, Poland, at the Tarczynski Arena. The championship fight will be shown by the MEGOGO media service.
It was reported that Usyk would receive 75% of the total prize fund – $6 million. Dubois can count on 25% – 2 million.
On the undercard of the Usyk-Dubois fight, WBO International lightweight champion Denis Berinchyk, Dmitry Mitrofanov, Yaroslav Khartsyz, Vasily Chebotar, Fedor Cherkashin, Daniel Lapin and others will enter the ring.
Hrgovic defeated Australian Demsey McKean in his last fight on a boxing evening in London at the O2 Arena. The Croatian retained his status as a mandatory contender for the IBF heavyweight title, which he won last August by defeating Zhang Zhilei.
