The promoter of the Ukrainian boxer said when he is waiting for the next fight of the ex-world champion.
Bob Arum reaffirmed that Vassily Lomachenko should not be expected this year.
The functionary also confirmed that the former world champion in three weight categories will not fight the American Shakur Stevenson, but will definitely receive a championship fight upon his return.
According to the promoter, it will happen early next year.
“We expect Lomachenko to return in early 2024. He is highly respected in the sectional bodies of all four organizations. Ultimately, he will fight for the title, but not against Shakur Stevenson, who will fight before the end of the year,” quoted the words of Arum Boxing Scene.
We will remind, earlier Shakur Stevenson called Lomachenko a coward for refusing to fight.
