The holder of the interim world champion belt according to the World Boxing Organization (WBO) in the first Australian middleweight Tim Tszyu said he would like to fight American Brian Mendoza next.
Earlier, former absolute world boxing champion Konstantin Tszyu said his 28-year-old son’s next fight will be in October.
Mendoza is the interim WBC champion. He is quick and has unusual punches. If you look at our past fights, I’m sure this fight will be a real firework, – quoted Tszyu Fox Sports Australia .
In June, Tszyu defeated Mexican Carlos Ocampo and defended the interim WBO world title. Earlier, it was reported that the Aussie will be given organization champion status due to current US champion Jermell Charlo’s intention to turn down a mandatory fight with Tszyu. In total, Tszyu has 23 wins (17 by KO) in the professional ring.
