The Briton is determined to win the duel against the Ukrainian champion
WBA Regular heavyweight title holder Daniel Dubois shared his expectations from the fight against the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO world champion Oleksandr Usyk. The Briton is pleased with the preparation and is confident in his abilities.
“It’s great to be an underdog. Although there is pressure, I don’t pay much attention to it. As an underdog, you don’t feel that way. You just go out and destroy your opponent, impose a fight on him. I’m a heavyweight and he’s a cruiser and I need to show it, be the aggressor in the ring. I am 25 years old. This is my time,” Dubois said.
“I am 100% determined to win. I’m going to win. Now I am fully armed, in combat mode. There will be a few more days of practice. I am constantly tired, but I have to get through it. I will rest when I do this. When you become a champion, you can rest for the rest of your life.”
The battle between Usyk and Dubois will take place on August 26 in Wroclaw, Poland, at the Tarczynski Arena. The championship fight will be shown by the MEGOGO media service.
On the undercard of the Usyk-Dubois fight, WBO International lightweight champion Denis Berinchyk, Dmitry Mitrofanov, Yaroslav Khartsyz, Vasily Chebotar, Fedor Cherkashin, Daniel Lapin and others will enter the ring.
