Russian MMA fighter Vyacheslav Datsik defeated former UFC and Bellator fighter Oli Thompson in a boxing match at a tournament in Moscow.
The fight ended in the first round, the 43-year-old Russian won by technical knockout.
Datsik’s stats on Sherdog show five wins and nine losses in MMA. In his last fight before meeting Thompson, Datsik lost to Kazakh Galymzhan Zhaslanov in an MMA bout at the Ural FC tournament. Prior to that, Datsik had lost to former WBC heavyweight contender Kevin Johnson in a boxing match. The 43-year-old Thompson’s professional record in MMA is 21 wins and 16 losses.
The fight between Datsik and Thompson became the main event of boxing night in Moscow. In the co-main event, Oleg Taktarov and Jeff Monson ended their fight in a draw. Also on the main card, Russian Mark Petrovsky defeated American Kevin Johnson by majority decision.
