Fight by boxing rules between Russia’s first UFC belt owner Oleg Taktarov and world champion in Brazilian jiu-jitsu Jeff Monson ended in a draw.
The fight took place as part of a tournament in Moscow and lasted all three rounds.
Monson has 60 wins in his MMA career, suffered 26 losses and one other fight ended in a draw. Taktarov has 17 wins, five losses and two draws in MMA. His last official fight dates from April 11, 2008.
Earlier, on the boxing tournament’s main card, 2021 world champion Mark Petrovsky defeated former WBC heavyweight contender Kevin Johnson. The fight went through all six rounds, the judges’ notes score: 57-57, 60-54, 60-54.
The main event of the boxing night in Moscow will be the fight between Russian Vyacheslav Datsik and Briton Oli Thompson.
