Olympic taekwondo champion Vladislav Larin confirmed to ” that he will compete in the Paris Grand Prix, noting that he still hopes to make it to the Games in 2024.
The Grand Prix will take place from September 1 to 3, the Russians will play the tournament in neutral status. Previously, Larin and Olympic champion Maxim Khramtsov were denied admission to the World Championships in Baku.
– Indeed, I will participate in the Paris Grand Prix. We are already actively preparing for the competition. Now there is an outbound collection in the Moscow region. Of course, there is a certain note of positive mood, because we haven’t played on the international stage for a long time. Now there will be an opportunity. We will try to do everything in our power.
This is the first international tournament that is included in the number of qualifying competitions for the Olympic Games. There is always hope. There is now a task to score as many points as possible in order to try and get to the Olympics without a continental team, Larin told .
Larin won gold at the Tokyo Olympics in the weight category over 80 kg.
