Russian Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) Magomed Ismailov believes the former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov no need to return to professional sport.
Earlier, Nurmagomedov’s manager Ali Abdelaziz said that if the fighter resumes his career, he would easily face UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.
– I don’t think Khabib needs to come back. If you’ve ever had a big break, you don’t know how it could turn you around when you return. It’s one thing when you fight one after the other, in the same breath. But when you take a break and stop actively playing, a comeback may not be at hand. I doubt Khabib can come back no matter how much he is offered, Ismailov said on the show “There is a subject!” on MatchTV.
Nurmagomedov retired on October 24, 2020 after defeating Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. The Russian relinquished his UFC lightweight title and retired with a 29-0 record.
