Open training sessions of boxers will be held on August 23, the official weigh-in ceremony will take place on August 25
WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and WBA mandatory contender Daniel Dubois have completed their preparations for the head-to-head fight scheduled for August 26. If there is no force majeure, the Usyk-Dubois fight will take place on Saturday in Wroclaw at the Tarczynski Arena stadium. Schedule change to help Ukraine
Traditionally, boxing teams arrive at the venue of the fight at the beginning of the week. This is primarily due to organizational issues – the placement of the team, checking the provided locations for training, etc., as well as acclimatization issues, especially if the fight takes place in a different climate and time zone. The last thing is not very relevant for Usyk and Dubois: both boxers trained in Europe, Daniel even trained in his native Britain, so the hourly time difference between London (where he trained) and Wroclaw is unlikely to be a factor that will affect acclimatization .
But Oleksandr Usyk, it is likely, will have to change his usual schedule before the fight. A charity auction in support of Ukraine is scheduled for August 22, which is organized by Nikdymo Sports and Cultural Development together with Usyk Foundation and Klitschko Foundation.
According to the organizers, Usyk will attend the event, which will be held in Warsaw on Tuesday evening. The distance from Wroclaw to the capital of Poland is about 350 kilometers.
Training in a symbolic place

The last event before the fight – the official weigh-in ceremony of the boxers – will be held on Friday, August 25th. It will take place on the same Svodoba Square, will be open to spectators and should start at 14:00.
And already on Saturday, we hope, Usyk-Dubois fight awaits us. Estimated start time of the fight is around 23:00 Kyiv time. Usyk will receive 75% of the total prize fund – $6 million. Dubois can count on 25% – 2 million. The championship fight will be shown by the MEGOGO media service.
