Ricky Hatton: Usyk will be the favorite, but writing off Dubois is extremely unfair

Ex-world champion paid tribute to the British challenger

Former world champion in two weight categories Ricky Hatton shared his opinion on the upcoming fight of the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight title holder Oleksandr Usyk With Daniel Dubois.

“Dubois deserves a little more respect than he gets. Let’s give him his due. He fought for the title of contender number one. He worked hard after losing to Joe Joyce. Dubois endured it and returned to where he is now, ”said Hutton.

“I think discounting him is a bit disrespectful. People too quickly came to this conclusion. We know Usyk is an incredible talent. He is the gold medalist of the Olympics, the absolute world champion in the first heavyweight, the unified heavyweight champion. Talents like this don’t come along very often. Of course, Usyk will be the favorite, but writing off Dubois is extremely unfair.”

The battle between Usyk and Dubois will take place on August 26 in Wroclaw, Poland, at the Tarczynski Arena. The championship fight will be shown by the MEGOGO media service.
