The Russian fighter also noted that he was not old yet and ended his career not because of his age.
“I believe that even now I can defeat anyone in the world. I’m not old. People forget why I finished. Not because I’m old. I lost my father and I didn’t want to I can’t fight without him. Now I’m only 34,” RingSide24 quotes Nurmagomedov.
The Russian held his last fight of his career in October 2020, when he defeated American Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. Immediately after this fight, the Russian announced the end of his professional career.
Khabib Nurmagomedov has 29 wins in 29 fights in MMA, including 13 wins in the UFC.
