“I had such a situation when there was an arrival nearby, there was an explosion and the fragments scattered. Literally about 15cm to the side – and it could have hit me in the head. But only metal fragments hit me, my face was slightly cut, but nothing fatal,” Mineev said, as quoted by RIA Novosti.

The athlete traveled to the CBO area as a volunteer. Earlier, his brother died there.
