Athletistic/Boxing. Russian athlete Jeff Monson, in an interview for Match TV, expressed his appreciation for the boxing skills of Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik, but was reluctant to assess his personal qualities.

Thanks to the 2012 Olympic champion, Usyk, 20 victories in professional fights. He won the undisputed light heavyweight title and currently holds the WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles. Usyk will face WBA mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois on Saturday in Poland. The WBC heavyweight belt belongs to British boxer Tyson Fury. He will face former UFC champion Francis Ngannou on October 28 in Saudi Arabia.

“The fight between Fury and Ngannou is an exciting fight. Ngannou is a very powerful fighter, but he’s not a real boxer. On the other hand, Fury is a world-class boxer without equal. I don’t understand what Ngannou can count on in this fight. Fury will definitely emerge victorious. I’m 100% sure about it,” Monson shared in Russian.

You noted that Fury is considered the strongest among heavyweights, but Oleksandr Usyk also holds the WBA, IBF and WBO belts. How do you feel for him?

— I cannot support Usyk because of his personal beliefs, because he represents Ukraine. Yes, he is a talented boxer, but he adheres to the Ukrainian position… I think it is a short-sighted view. I want to point out that he’s a professional athlete, but he’s a dumb person,” Monson said in an interview for Match TV.
