Russian boxers Evgeny Romanov and Khariton Agrba will fight on September 8 in Chelyabinsk. This was reported to in the RCC Boxing Promotions press service.
Heavyweight Romanov (18-0, KO 12) will face Venezuelan Wilmer Vazquez, 41 (12-1-2, KO 8). Prior to the Russians’ exclusion from the WBC rankings, Romanov was a contender for that organization’s bridgeweight belt. The last time Romanov entered the ring was in March in Yekaterinburg, when he defeated Chris Thompson by unanimous decision.
The 2019 Agrba European Games welterweight silver medalist (11-0, KO 7) will meet Panamanian Alexander Duran (21-1, KO 7). Agrba last boxed in the same show as Romanov. In March, the Russian knocked out South Africa’s Prince Dlomo in the sixth round.
Recall that Khariton Agrba will participate on August 26 in Serpukhov in the IBA Champions Night tournament, during which he will have an exhibition fight with Xolisani Ndongeni from South Africa.
