Double Olympic bronze medalist Andrei Zamkovoi won the eighth title of Russian boxing champion.
On Saturday, at the national championship held at the Platinum Arena in Khabarovsk, Zamkova defeated Ivan Stupin in the final fight in the weight category up to 71 kg.
In the 48 kg final, Edmond Khudoyan defeated Artysh Soyan. For Khudoyan, this title was the fifth of his career.
In the category up to 54 kg, Andrei Peglivanyan became the champion of the country, defeating Maxim Kuznetsov.
In the weight category up to 60 kg, Arshak Tovmasyan became the best, defeating Nikita Kosman in the final.
Tarkhan Idigov for the second time in his career won the gold medal at the Russian championship in the weight category up to 67 kg. In the final he defeated Karen Solovyov.
In the decisive fight in the weight category up to 75 kg, Sergei Sergeev was stronger than Yegor Shapochansky.
In the weight category over 92 kg, Yaroslav Dronichev became the champion, defeating Svyatoslav Teterin in the final.
The prize fund of the Russian Men’s Boxing Championship in Khabarovsk amounted to 26 million rubles. The winners of the tournament each received 1.5 million rubles, silver medalists – 250,000 rubles each, bronze medalists – 125,000 rubles each.
