The promoter believes that the Briton landed a legal blow in the fifth round
Promoter Frank Warren stated that his team will seek the WBA to recognize the outcome of the fight of the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk with British heavyweight Daniel Dubois failed.
“The situation is such that we will seek the WBA to declare this fight a no contest. The knockdown, which according to the referee was from below the belt, actually landed on the belt of Usyk’s shorts.”

At the end of the eighth round, Usyk knocked down Dubois, but the Briton managed to get up and continue the fight. And in the ninth round, the Ukrainian knocked out the Briton after another accurate blow.
After the fight, Alexander said that he intended to relax and spend time with his family. For his next fight, the Ukrainian challenged WBC champion Tyson Fury.
For the Ukrainian undefeated boxer, this victory was the 21st in the professional ring, the 14th time Usyk ended the fight ahead of schedule. Dubois suffered the second defeat of his career.
