Usyk’s promoter is sure that the British team will not be able to appeal the result of the fight in Wroclaw
Alexander Krasyukpromoter of the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, stated that the appeal of his recent rival Daniel Dubois has no chance of success.
“Zero percent or a negative probability of success,” Krasyuk stressed.
After the fight, the representative of the Ukrainian champion said that he considers Usyk’s victory clear and indisputable.
Recall that in the fifth round of the Usyk-Dubois fight, the Briton struck a Ukrainian in the inguinal region. Oleksandr fell to the canvas, the referee recorded a low blow, giving the Ukrainian time to recover.
According to Dubois’s team, the shot was clean. Daniel himself believes that he was deprived of a legitimate victory and demands revenge.
Frank Warren, Daniel Dubois’ promoter, said the Briton’s team “will seek the WBA to declare this fight a no contest.”
Another well-known promoter Eddie Hearn, in turn, believes that the judges in this episode did the right thing.
Usyk defeated Dubois in a fight that took place in Wroclaw, Poland, and defended his titles. The Ukrainian knocked out the Briton after another accurate blow in the ninth round.
