Hearn on Canelo vs Golovkin fight: It’s going to be a thriller

Alvarez and Golovkin will fight on September 17

Promoter Eddie Hearn commented on the third fight between Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (57-2-2, 37 KOs) and Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs).

“I think the third fight will be brutal. Golovkin understands that this is his last chance. In turn, Saul intends to be as angry as possible with Golovkin,

“I want this fight to be the biggest fight I’ve ever been in. It will be a thriller. They will set the ring on fire from the first round.”

Alvarez and Golovkin will fight on September 17 for the title of undisputed world champion in the second middle weight category. The fight will take place in Las Vegas.

The first fight between Canelo and Golovkin in September 2017 ended in a draw. A year later, the Mexican won by split decision.

In May, Alvarez suffered the second defeat of his career, losing to Russian Dmitry Bivol in a fight for the world light heavyweight title.

Golovkin fought his last fight in April, defeating Japan’s Reta Murata via TKO to unify two middleweight titles.
