“A victory over Usyk will not give me anything. Who the hell is he? If I agree to fight with Usyk, then not only will I throw him a bone, but I will throw a whole kennel at him. Everyone expects me to beat Usyk, the middleweight guy who’s smaller than me.”
“If Usyk beats me, it will be like: “My God, he beat a mammoth that no one could beat!” I’m not going to give anyone that opportunity. Hell no. Maybe it would be better if Usyk and AJ fought me together as a team. Just let them change between rounds. I would actually beat them both in one night – that’s how easy they are rivals, ”said Tyson.
Immediately after the victory over Briton Daniel Dubois, Usyk announced that he was ready to fight Fury, while doubting whether Tyson himself wanted this.
Earlier it was reported that the teams of Usyk and WBC champion Tyson Fury continue negotiations for a fight for the undisputed title. The potential date for a face-to-face meeting between Tyson and Alexander is January 27, 2024.
