Eddie Hearn believes that the Ukrainian world champion will not look like himself in the fight with Dubois.
Oleksandr Usyk is not as active in the fight against Daniel Dubois as he used to be. Well-known promoter Eddie Hearn thinks so.
According to the functionary, the Ukrainian champion moved around the ring worse than fighting his ward Anthony Joshua.
Hearn made an assumption, or the Ukrainian got old, or had health problems.
“From the starting gong, Usyk didn’t look like him. I think his legs seem slow, he looked tired. It seems to Usyk that he is old. Is it pressure because he fights almost only at home? Usyk didn’t often fight at home • Was he injured?
Why did they use a small ring? When I see a fighter who likes to move around with a small ring, it tells me he’s in trouble, doesn’t want to move around much. This was very common for Usyk as he fought Daniel Dubois. I thought he wanted a bigger ring. Did he have an injury or surgery? I do not know. But he still won every round,” Hearn told Matchroom Boxing.
Earlier, Eddie Hearn accused Usyk of imitating the fight with Dubois.
