Fight in the first heavyweight between Russian boxers Alexei Papin and Soslan Asbarov will take place on October 28 in Moscow. This was officially announced by Iron & Gloves Promotions chief Kirill Shchekutiev at the event on Wednesday, where Asbarov and Papin had another viewpoint duel.
Papin has 15 wins and one loss in the professional ring. Before the decision to exclude the Russians from the WBC rankings, he occupied the first row and was the mandatory contender for the belt at the first heavyweights. Master of world-class sports in boxing Asbarov, known for his bare-knuckle performances, won four times in four fights, including against Dmitry Kudryashov.
Papin had his last fight in October 2022, when he defeated Bosnian Damir Bello by technical knockout in the second round. After this meeting, the first duel of views with Asbarov took place.
