Spence activates Crawford rematch clause

The fight could take place at the end of the year

Brian McIntyrecoach of the undisputed world welterweight champion Terence Crawfordreported that the former world champion Errol Spence activated the item about rematch with his subordinate.

“Spence activated the rematch option. It’s been confirmed, but we don’t have a fight date yet. I hope this will happen before the end of the year,” Crawford’s coach said.

The first fight between Crawford and Spence took place at the end of July. In the ninth round, the referee decided to stop the fight, giving an early victory to Terence.

For Crawford, the victory over Spence was the 40th in his career and the 31st ahead of schedule. With this win, Terence became the first boxer in the world in the four version era to win all four belts in two divisions. Earlier, we recall, the American was the undisputed world champion in the light welterweight division.
