The boxer will compete in the light welterweight division.
Promoter of Golden Boy Promotions, legendary American boxer Oscar De La Hoya stated that the American boxer Ryan Garcia his next fight will be held in November in the light welterweight division.
“We have a date for Ryan Garcia in November. We offered him various opponents, but his team refused them. At junior welterweight, he will be a force to be reckoned with.”
“We hope that very soon we will agree on something. But we have a date in November and we’re aiming to have a huge fight on that day and build from there.”
“Rolando Romero is on sick leave so the WBA title could become vacant. There are many uncertain moments, but Ryan Garcia will return in November.” Oscar concluded.
Recall that in his last fight, Garcia lost by knockout in the seventh round to WBA champion in three weight categories Gervont Davis. For 25-year-old Ryan, the defeat was the first in his career.
The fight with Davis took place at a catchweight of 61.7 kg. Garcia plans to compete in the first welterweight category (up to 63.5 kg or 140 pounds) in the future.
