The American will defend two featherweight titles
WBC and WBO super featherweight world champion Shakur Stevenson confirmed that he will fight against the Brazilian Robson Conceicao.
“Robson is a great fighter, an Olympic champion. He may have beaten Oscar Valdez even before me, so he deserved the chance to fight for my belts before anyone else,” wrote Stevenson on Twitter.
According to the American media, Stevenson vs. Conceição will take place on September 23 in Newark, New Jersey.
In May, Stevenson defeated Oscar Valdez by unanimous decision to unify the super featherweight belts. Shakur inflicted the first defeat of his career on the Mexican.
Conceiçao fought Valdes last fall but lost on points. In his last fight, the Brazilian defeated American Javier Martinez.
