Tyson – about the failed fight with AJ
WBC World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury accused Anthony Joshua that their fight a few years ago never took place.
“In my memory, Joshua has tried at least six times over the past five years to arrange our fight, but in each case it was unsuccessful, because we are dealing with a diva who does not want to fight,” Fury said.
“A few years ago, when Joshua was the undefeated knockout master, people thought he could beat Tyson Fury. Then when Andy Ruiz sent him to canvas, people said: ‘He’s a bodybuilder, Tyson was right – he doesn’t stand a chance.’ Then he looked surprisingly shitty in a rematch with Ruiz, who hadn’t trained for a day. Andy went to Mexico where he hung out with the president. People said he had mental problems. After that, Joshua came out and lost to the cruiser [Усику]”.
This bird has flown away. I am the undefeated heavyweight king. No one even gets close to me. Even the great fighters of past eras.”
Now Joshua is preparing for a rematch against Oleksandr Usyk, whom he lost three championship belts last year. The second fight between Joshua and Usyk will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia.
Fury knocked out Dillian Whyte in April, after which he announced his retirement. The other day, Tyson’s father suggested that his son could return to the ring to fight Joshua.
