The referee stopped the fight in the tenth round
Former world champion Chris Eubank Jr. (33-3, 24 KO) won by TKO Liam Smith (33-4-1, 20 KOs). The rematch took place at the AO Arena in Manchester.
Eubank had the advantage during the duel. In the fourth round, Chris knocked down the opponent, but Liam managed to return. In the tenth round, Eubank Jr. pressed Smith to the ropes with a protracted attack, after which the referee stopped the fight.
Initially, the second fight between Chris and Liam was planned to take place on June 17th. However, the rematch date was pushed back due to Smith’s injury in training camp.
The first fight between Eubank Jr. and Smith took place in January 2023 in Manchester. In the 4th round, Liam knocked Chris down twice and the referee stopped the fight.
Recall that Eubank Jr. twice owned the title of interim WBA middleweight champion. Smith was a former world welterweight champion.
