Brian McIntyre was returning to the US after helping Chris Eubank Jr get his revenge on Liam Smith
Brian McIntyre, coach of undisputed welterweight champion Terence Crawford, was arrested at Manchester Airport on 3 September. In the things of an American who planned to fly to Atlanta, the security service found a gun.
McIntyre was interrogated at the police station, after which he was taken into custody. A hearing in his case has been scheduled for October 9.
The American flew to Manchester for the fight between Chris Eubank Jr. and Liam Smith. The coach helped Eubank prepare for the rematch. Chris eventually won by technical knockout in the tenth round.
McIntyre is better known for his work with Crawford. Under his leadership, Terence became the undisputed world welterweight champion by defeating Errol Spence. Earlier it was reported that Spence activated the revenge clause. According to McIntyre, the fight is planned to be organized before the end of the year.
