The second fight between the Ukrainian and the British will take place on August 20
Robert Garciaformer world heavyweight champion coach Anthony Joshuaspoke about the preparation of the Briton for revenge against Oleksandr Usyk. He noted that his ward will be ready for everything that the Ukrainian world champion will do.
“Anthony has an advantage in height, scope [рук] and strength, but we can’t go into the ring thinking we can just knock out [Усика]. We have to be smart and win the fight,” Garcia said.
“We don’t know what Usyk is going to do. He can do something that will make us box more, but we will be ready for whatever he brings. Usyk is a great boxer and champion, I know him personally and I know how dedicated he is, but we are ready to make AJ a three-time world heavyweight champion.”
“This is a challenge for me because most of my boxers have competed at welterweight or below. Working with bigger and stronger guys is a challenge that I have to get used to and I love it. If all goes well, AJ will be my 15th world champion. It will be a big win for me and my first world heavyweight champion.”
The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will officially take place on August 20 in Saudi Jeddah. Boxers will fight for the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight titles.
