Garaev, who competes up to 70kg, defeated Denis Shevchuk of Siberia in the second leg of the ” Victory Cup” on Sunday by unanimous decision of the judges.

” Victory Cup” takes place in four cities: St. Petersburg (June 16-18 and July 8-10), Moscow (June 24-26), Kazan (July 1-3) and Orenburg (July 15-17) . On July 30, the tournament final will be held in Moscow.
Six teams take part in the tournament: Leningrad (St. Petersburg), Siberia (boxers from the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts), Tula (Central Federal District), Moscow (Moscow), Stalingrad (South Caucasian of the North) and “Kama” (federal districts of the Volga and the Urals). The prize fund is 20 million rubles.
