Fury: I was hit from below the belt at full strength, and I never wallowed like Usyk

The potential rival of the Ukrainian champion believes that Usyk-Dubois “both lost” in the battle

WBC title holder Tyson Fury spoke sharply about the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO world heavyweight champion fight Oleksandr Usyk With Daniel Dubois.

The Gypsy King believes that the Ukrainian missed a legitimate blow and behaved inappropriately.

“I think he lost to Dubois and he gave up, so he is a little coward. And once you give up, you always give up, as we saw with Dubois. He also surrendered, so the two who surrendered fought each other.”

“Maybe it’s too harsh to say that someone gave up, but Usyk gave up after receiving a blow to the body, and fell on the floor like a little coward for five minutes, and the other gave up after missing the jab. The truth is that it is.”

“I thought Usyk was a warrior, that he was a real little fighter. But this is clearly not the case, he is just a little weakling. I was beaten with full force, right below the waist. And I never wallowed like that. It is what it is, whether you are a fighter or not, and if you give up once, you will always give up again. My father told me this when I was a child. If you do it once, you will do it forever, and that’s the point.”

This attack can be considered a continuation of the verbal pick between the two heavyweight champions. Previously, Usyk taunted Fury with the phrase “I was told that you are not the real Gypsy King.”

Oleksandr Usyk on August 26 in Wroclaw defeated Daniel Dubois by TKO in the ninth round. The team of the losing Brit filed an appeal against the result of the fight, but Usyk’s side is sure that it has no chance of success. The WBA promised to consider the appeal and make a decision in accordance with the regulations.

The teams of Usyk and Fury continue negotiations for a fight for the undisputed title. The potential date for a face-to-face meeting between Tyson and Alexander is January 27, 2024.
