Zaur Abdullaev defeated Roman Andreev at the Chelyabinsk boxing tournament

Russian boxer Zaur Abdullaev defeated compatriot Roman Andreev in the co-main event of the RCC Boxing Promotions tournament.

The lightweight bout, which took place in Chelyabinsk on Friday, ended with Abdullaev winning by technical knockout in the fourth round. Former WBC champion Silver Abdullayev earned his 18th professional ring victory with just one loss to former undisputed US champion Devin Haney. Andreev suffered his first loss in his career, he also has 25 wins.

The middleweight fight between Russians Pavel Silyagin and Evgeny Shvedenko ended in a draw. Welterweight champion Khariton Agrba defeated Panamanian Alexander Duran by technical knockout in the tenth round. Heavyweight Evgeny Romanov defeated Venezuelan Wilmer Vazquez by unanimous decision.

In the September 8 show’s main event, lightweight Vildan Minasov won by unanimous decision over former WBA world champion Rene Alvarado of Nicaragua.
