Canelo: Golovkin wants his last check

On September 17, the boxers will hold the third fight

Undisputed World Super Middleweight Champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez shared his expectations from the third fight against Gennady Golovkin.

The Mexican is sure that Golovkin agreed to this fight only in order to receive the last major fee of his career.

“I predict a knockout. Golovkin talks a lot of shit. True, not now, because I’m sitting in front of his team. You call the lion when you see him coming, and now I’m getting closer, ”Canelo said.

Everyone wants to get the attention of the Mexican fans because they think the Mexicans will buy pay-per-view and they do. Fighters use Mexican colors, but it’s just business. But not for me. I’m a real Mexican, I fight for my people.”

“Every single fight is important to my legacy. Golovkin wants his last check. That’s what he wants.”

On Friday, Canelo and Golovkin had their first duel of views. The final fight of the trilogy will take place on September 17 in Las Vegas.

The first fight between Alvarez and Golovkin in 2017 ended in a draw. A year later, the Mexican won by split decision.
