WBA Russian light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol said that on the side of the Mexican Saul (Canelo) Álvarez nobody negotiated the organization of a rematch.
Bivol, recognized as the best boxer of 2022 by many versions, has 21 victories in the professional ring (11 by KO). The 32-year-old had his last fight in November 2022, when he beat Mexican Gilberto Ramirez by unanimous decision. Before that, in May 2022, Bivol defeated the best boxer of the time, regardless of Canelo’s weight categories, by unanimous decision of the judges.
