According to this source, Askhabov and his accomplices entered the villa of an Italian citizen, tied him up, gagged him and began interrogating him in order to obtain information about his property. They then stole €330,000 worth of valuables from their victim’s home, including expensive watches, a MacBook and an iPhone. In addition, Askhabov seized $43,000 from the Italian’s safe and 16,000 euros from his debit card.
Askhabov was quickly arrested and faces several years in prison.
Khusein Askhabov fought 24 MMA fights and won 23 of them. On October 7, they planned to put him in a fight with American Daniel Pineda at the UFC tournament in Las Vegas.
