Representatives of the Russian consulate in Thailand commented on about the detention of Russian MMA fighters.
Earlier it became known that brothers Hussein and Khasan Askhabov were arrested in Thailand on suspicion of complicity in armed robbery and torture of an Italian citizen in order to take possession of the victim’s personal property. The criminal group allegedly stole several expensive watches and cash amounting to around 40,000 euros.
Khusein Askhabov, 28 years old, is a UFC fighter (the organization’s statistics are 0-1, overall in MMA – 23-1). After reporting the crime, the organization canceled the athlete’s fight, scheduled for October 7. Khasan Askhabov’s MMA statistics are 23 wins and 2 losses. He fought his last fight on September 24, 2020.
