The mandatory challenger for the IBF heavyweight belt criticized the British boxer.
Tyson Fury ignores Oleksandr Usik and openly does not want to hold a unification fight in the heavyweight division. This is what the mandatory challenger of the IBF, Filip Hrgovic, said.
The Croatian boxer harshly criticized the Briton for such behavior. It states that it is disrespectful to all of boxing.
“It’s completely disrespectful to boxing, to everyone. Obviously, Fury doesn’t want this unification. And I don’t want anyone talking to me about a unification fight. Fury obviously doesn’t want it. They had a lot of time, to arrange unification, but they didn’t want to do it, maybe both are afraid of losing their perfect track record, so I don’t care about it.
They showed a huge disrespect to boxing and the fans. I should be next. I just want to tell them to follow the rules and fight the mandatory challengers. I’m next in line. There will be no backtracking, nothing will stop me from getting my well-deserved chance,” Hrgovic said in an interview with the Boxing Social YouTube channel.
We remind you that earlier Hrgovic said how he can beat Usik.
