RCC Executive Director Nikolai Klimenko announced that his league is planning a rematch between Alexander Shlemenko and Alexander Ilic next December. “At the moment, the contracts have not yet been signed, but the negotiations are in the final stages. Also at the same tournament the return of Alexey Oleinik will take place, we are still selecting an opponent. Additionally, a fight between Ivan Shtyrkov and Maxim Grishin are planned. Other potential superfights are also expected, which will attract attention,” Klimenko said in an interview with Sport24.
The first meeting between Shlemenko and Ilic took place in August 2022. Then the Serbian fighter won by knockout in 22 seconds.
