Former UFC bantamweight champion Valentina Shevchenko will have a title fight with Mexican beltholder Alexa Grosso as part of the UFC Fight Night 227 tournament.
The fight will take place on September 16 in Las Vegas. Watch the live broadcast of the tournament on the federal TV channel “” on September 17 from 05:00 (Moscow time).
In March, Shevchenko lost by submission to Alexa Grasso at UFC 285 and lost the title. Before the rematch, both athletes showed the same result on the scales – 56.47 kg.
Originally from Kyrgyzstan, Shevchenko is 35 years old, she has won 23 MMA victories and suffered four defeats. Grosso, 30, has 16 wins and three losses.
Also as part of the tournament, Russian fighter Roman Kopylov will meet American Josh Fremd.
