Athletistic/MMA. Early in the morning of September 17 in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA), the UFC Fight Night 227 mixed martial arts tournament ended. In the main fight of the event, the organization’s champion in women’s flyweight (up to 57 kg), Mexican Alexa Grasso had a rematch with the former owner of this title, Valentina Shevchenko from Kyrgyzstan.
This fight lasted five rounds and ended in a draw. Thus, Grasso retained his UFC championship belt.
Note that the first meeting between Alexa and Valentina took place in March 2023 at the UFC 285 tournament. Then Shevchenko sensationally lost to Grasso by choke in the fourth round and interrupted a streak of nine victories.
Shevchenko, 35, has 23 wins, four losses and one draw in his MMA career. By the age of 30, Grasso had won 16 times, suffered three defeats and ended one fight in a draw.
