Tokyo Olympic freestyle wrestling champion, Russian Zaur Uguev defeated the representative of Spain Levan Metreveli in the 1/16 finals of the World Championship held in Belgrade.
The fight in the weight category up to 57 kg ended with a score of 10:0 in favor of the Russian. In the next round, Uguev will meet Mongolian Zanabazar Zandanbudyn.
The World Championships in Belgrade will end on September 23. The Russians are participating in the qualifying tournament for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, in neutral status.
