Russian wrestler Kurbanov lost in the bronze fight at the World Championships in Belgrade

Russian Abdulla Kurbanov lost to American Mason Parris in the fight for the bronze medal at the World Wrestling Championships taking place in Belgrade.

The match took place as part of a freestyle wrestling tournament in the weight category up to 125 kg. The fight ended with a score of 2:12.

Later on Sunday, Kurbanov will fight for the Olympic license with Hungarian Daniel Ligeti.

The World Championships take place in Belgrade (Serbia) from September 16 to 24. The Russians act in a neutral position. The tournament is a qualifier for the 2024 Summer Games in Paris.
