Golovkin on the eve of the third fight with Saul Alvarez accused the Mexican of clownish behavior

Representative of Kazakhstan Gennady Golovkin points out that he remains of his opinion on Willow Alvarez whom he had previously accused of deliberate doping.

In 2018, before their second fight, the Mexican boxer tested positive for a banned substance, the fight was postponed. Alvarez claimed the positive test came from eating contaminated meat. In 2018, a representative of the anti-doping service confirmed this version. However, Golovkin said Saul got away with everything and urged checking him on a polygraph.

– I stand by my words. I take full responsibility for everything I said. But we are not talking about statements. We are talking about real facts. He’s the one who tested positive, and he’s the one trying to find some kind of excuse by trying to blame others. Such behavior, I would say, is similar to clown behavior. I would say maybe they say, “Well, one, or two, or three times a positive test, it doesn’t count.” Maybe because I am not a member of the pajama club, so they are offended by me, – quoted Golovkin Yahoo Sports.

The third fight between Alvarez and Golovkin is scheduled for September 17 in Las Vegas (USA). The first confrontation between Canelo and Golovkin ended in a draw, in the second fight the Mexican won by split decision.
