The World Championships take place in Belgrade from September 16 to 24. The Russians participate in the qualifying tournament for the Paris Olympic Games in neutral status.

Following the results of three days of competition, Russians won three medals at the World Championships. In the non-Olympic categories up to 61 kg and 79 kg, the prizes were won by Abasgadzhi Magomedov (silver) and Akhmed Usmanov (gold), in the Olympic category up to 74 kg – Zaurbek Sidakov (gold).
